What happens when we die? Does anyone really know for sure? With so many differing ideas about life after death does there have to be one absolute answer?
Our beliefs in life guide us in each thing we do so why should it be any different in death. It's not hard to believe in many of the different ideas that there are about death. Each person has there own theory about it. Some think that if we kill ourselves that will result in going to hell or if we die a violent death that will make us walk as ghost were we died. Are these things true?
I like to think that we choose our own fate in death by our own beliefs. So if you truly believe that when you die you will go to heaven then that is what happens. In a way you are trapped by your beliefs into the belief just as you are trapped by your beliefs in life. So as a spirit you remain stuck to haunt an apartment that you died in it is because you believe that this is how it is to be. But if you knew that you could go anywhere that you choose you would be able to leave.
I don't think it is all that big of a deal to see that we have a choice in death just as we do in life. On the biblical side you have the idea that we are made in Gods image. To explain this would require a whole book. Basically it just means that we are capable of things that we are not really aware of. So what keeps us from doing the things that are attributed to God like qualities? Fear. We are afraid to be what we are.
